Privacy policy

Servo Hop shows fuel prices and EV chargers. It has no accounts and asks for no name or email.

What the app and the site keep

• Your location stays on your phone or in your browser. The map asks the server for prices in the area on screen, and the server keeps no record of that area.
• Price reports keep the price, the servo, the time and a salted hash of your internet address. The hash limits reports to 10 an hour and can't be turned back into the address.
• Your fuel choice stays on your device.

Ads

The site shows Google AdSense ads and the Android app shows Google AdMob ads. Google uses cookies and device identifiers to show and measure ads. Remove ads in the Android app is a Google Play purchase. Google Play handles the payment, and the app only learns that you own it. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland see a consent message first. Read how Google uses data from sites and apps that use its services.

Services the app calls

• Cloudflare hosts the site and the price API.
• OpenFreeMap serves the map tiles.
• GitHub answers the update check of the Android app installed outside Google Play.
